It was two years ago already that TF1 gave us its live-action take on Cat's Eye (no 'S' at the end, that matters), adapted from Tsukasa Hōjō's cult manga. While the show did find its audience, reviews were rather mixed, thanks to some shaky direction, a pace that occasionally dragged, and above all wildly uneven performances from the cast. Never mind, though: the ratings came in and a second season was duly greenlit shortly after. And here we are, with TF1 ready to share the new adventures of the Chamade sisters. Cat's Eyes (this time with an 'S' at the end) makes its big return on TF1 and TF1+ from Monday 12 October 2026 at 21:10. The channel has just confirmed the launch date for this second season, which will run to 8 episodes in total. We've also been treated to an explosive trailer.
After the events of the first season, Sylia, Tamara and Alex have picked up their father's trail and now intend to take on a sprawling art-trafficking network. The mission will take them to the Musée d'Orsay and the Centre Georges Pompidou, but also as far as Mont-Saint-Michel, with a new run of heists aiming to be more spectacular than ever — just look at that scene on the roof of a train at full tilt.
The Marquis: the new bad guy
But the main spanner in the works this season will undoubtedly be the Marquis, an iconic character from the universe created by Tsukasa Hōjō. After being hinted at throughout the first season, the mysterious burglar finally appears on screen, played by Tom Leeb (36), son of none other than Michel Leeb. Like the three Chamade sisters, the Marquis is a high-skill thief, exceptionally good at what he does and, above all, very hard to catch. His arrival looks set to seriously complicate the Cat's Eyes' mission, and to shake up the relationships between the three heroines too. In the trailer, we see that Tamara (played by Camille Lou) struggles to stay immune to the new thief's charm. And it's Quentin (MB14, that's his stage name...) who looks likely to pay the price.
Alongside Camille Lou, Constance Labbé and Claire Romain, who of course reprise their respective roles as Tamara, Sylia and Alex, we'll also see Élodie Fontan back as Prudence, Simon Ehrlacher as Abel and Cindy Bruna as Gwen Assaya. There are new recruits joining the cast as well, notably Lola Dewaere, Shy'm and Jérôme Le Banneur. One other change worth flagging: the three sisters' father will now be played by Arnaud Binard, replacing Grégory Fitoussi, who wasn't available during filming as he was tied up on another TF1 series.
A first season that took flak but pulled in the numbers
With a budget reported at around €25 million for Season 1, Cat's Eyes was a sizeable gamble for TF1. The show's success ultimately convinced the channel to carry on with this second season, apparently with greater ambitions and bigger means. It has to be said that the first season drew an average of 4.02 million viewers, or 21.3% of the total audience and 34.1% of women under 50 responsible for purchasing, plus a further 1.3 million catch-up viewers at D+7. The series also enjoyed considerable international exposure and was sold to several European countries.
