After the collector's PS5 controllers, the vinyl records and the announcement of the official soundtrack, Rockstar Games is proving once again that it's flooring it down the GTA 6 marketing motorway. The Scottish studio has just opened the first pre-orders for merchandise around its game, and the chef's surprise is an enormous collector's box going for 400 euros. Time to raid the savings account, bro.
Head over to the official Rockstar Games site, and by extension the GTA 6 one, and you'll find some sixty collectables. There's a bit of everything: clothing, accessories, collector's items inspired by Vice City and the world of Leonida, but it's the "The Goodtime State Vice City Collection" box that really caught our eye. Priced at 400€ (fine, okay, 399.99€), the set comes in an imposing lacquered black box adorned with the Leonida logo and that famous "VI" in Roman numerals. Inside there's a series of exclusive items, starting with a figurine of Macca the Gator, the emblematic character from Leonida's fictional series, standing around 15 cm tall. The figurine shows the alligator with a cigarette in one hand and a red martini in the other, while its base unscrews to hide a few more small items. Subtle, that.
The other big-ticket item in the box is the pair of Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, done in matte black with Prizm Sapphire lenses and a pink GTA VI logo inspired by Vice City. And then there's this flashy cap that fits the Miami vibe perfectly — for which Rockstar Games teamed up with New Era to get the customisation just right. Its name? The Vice City / Leonida 9FORTY A-Frame cap.
See you later, alligator
That's not all. There's also a magnetic Macca the Gator mirror in pink glass, which can double as a tray or be hung up thanks to its built-in magnets. There's a cocktail spoon engraved with the Vice City and Rockstar Games logos, plus a shot glass sporting Chunkee the manatee. The studio throws in a Leonida Keys shoulder bag in ripstop fabric (it's a bum bag, really), with a black and pink lining, woven patches and a custom YKK zip. There's also a metal keyring shaped like a razor blade, decorated with the GTA VI and Vice City logos. A Rockstar Games merch classic — the studio has already slapped those blades on plenty of t-shirts. "IYKYK."
For pin badge fans like yours truly, there are nine Leonida Keys enamel pins gathered in a metal tin, while a set of nine vinyl stickers lets you fly the Leonida colours on a laptop, a water bottle or anything else. And finally, what would a collector's set be without the obligatory poster? GTA 6 gets one, double-sided and dedicated to Leonida. One side features artwork of Vice City and the characters of the fictional series starring Macca the Gator (him again, honestly). The other shows the complete map of the state of Leonida. Handy for finding your bearings mid-game.
The 'The Goodtime State Vice City Collection' box is available to pre-order right now from the official Rockstar Games store, while stocks last, obviously. The set is priced at 399.99€ and shipping to France comes to around 21€. Calling all the well-heeled — and anyone on minimum wage who isn't scared of going into the red by the 10th of the month.
