With rumours about Uncharted 5 piling up over the past few days, Nolan North has just thrown another log on the fire. The actor who has voiced Nathan Drake since the very first game says he'd be 100% up for reprising the role, should Sony PlayStation decide to bring the franchise back. It was during a Q&A session held at the Gamergy show in Puerto Rico that North was asked about a possible return for Nathan Drake, and the actor went on to explain that he couldn't see a single reason to turn down an offer like that.

As a reminder, Nolan North has played Nathan Drake in all four mainline Uncharted games as well as Uncharted Golden Abyss on PS Vita. He spent close to 10 years at Naughty Dog working on the franchise and clearly still holds the character close to his heart. He even joked during the interview that he keeps himself in shape "just in case", so he's ready should Sony ever come knocking.

Nolan North doesn't want to put his foot in it

The actor was careful to point out that he hasn't heard a word about any announcement regarding a new entry, though he can well imagine the impact an Uncharted comeback would have on the games industry. As far as he's concerned, bringing back a franchise of that stature after several years away would be an event in itself. It's worth noting that Naughty Dog hasn't released a mainline instalment since Uncharted 4 A Thief's End back in 2016, followed a year later by the spin-off Uncharted The Lost Legacy. The series has kept a low profile ever since, aside from the Legacy of Thieves Collection compilation released on PS5 and PC.
