The organisers of Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show have published the figures for the 2026 edition in an official press release. And the least you can say is that the Asian show, born of the merger between Gamescom Asia and the Thailand Game Show, is drawing bigger and bigger crowds. In its second year, the event set an attendance record with 219,546 visitors from 113 different nations. Last year, 206,159 people from 95 different countries made the trip to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.

Running across four days (29 October to 1 November), Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 opened with its business area, where, over the first two days, 6,923 visitors from 78 different territories (up 24% on the 2025 edition and its 5,590 industry professionals) got down to talking. More than 51% of them came from outside Thailand. Which is what leads Mathias Kuepper to say the show has taken on an international dimension.
“This is the most international show we have ever staged,” he says. “Exhibitors from 29 countries came to Bangkok to close deals, not just to show off games. That tells the games industry that South-East Asia is no longer a market to watch. It is now a market you cannot ignore, and this is where the business gets done.” As Maxime showed during his trip to Thailand, Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has a buzz about it that you no longer find at the Paris Games Week or other Western shows.
A show with genuine international reach
“We are proud to see Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show grow year on year,” add Pongsuk Hiranprueck, president of Show No Limit, and Korakan Yamsattham, managing director of Online Station. “Last year, the whole world saw us. This year, we built on that momentum with more collaborations and more business talks. The response from games fans and industry professionals, both in Thailand and abroad, has been fantastic. We want to thank everyone who helped make this event happen.”
Proof that Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show now matters: John Romero, co-creator of Doom, was on hand for a conference programme that brought together no fewer than 81 speakers from 27 countries.

On the games side, from 30 October to 1 November visitors could get their hands on 582 titles (Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Stranger Than Heaven and Rayman Legends Retold among them), 347 of them from independent studios. Major players such as SEGA, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Nintendo, Capcom and Ubisoft had their own stands, with the show spread across more than 38,519 m².
As for coverage, Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 brought together 720 media partners, influencers and press outlets. Online content devoted to the show racked up close to 34 million views across all platforms.
Finally, the organisers have already pencilled in Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2027, which will take place from 21 to 24 October in Bangkok.
